What Is Sensitive Skin

The term "sensitive skin" is used to describe skin that is delicate, fine textured, thin and which reacts immediately to heat and cold. This sensitive skin is usually dry rather than oily, and easily irritated by cosmetics, soaps, detergents, and temperature changes. Sensitive skin visibly shows its reactions by turning red and blotchy.

Sensitive Skin Care and Treatment

People with sensitive skin need to pay more attention to their sensitive skin care routines than people with normal or balanced skin. To lower the risk of allergic reactions and skin irritation, the products they used for sensitive skin care should contain fewer chemicals, fewer fragrances, fewer additives and fewer preservatives in order to lower their risk of skin irritation and allergic reactions.

It might not be realistic for those with sensitive skin to use only natural ingredients for fear of breakouts, but careful scrutiny of products used can reduce the possibility of getting adverse reactions and irritations.
